Frequently asked questions

Do I need to apply for rent assistance?

For status from 1 March 2024, no: the Housing Ministry pays automatically, with no application, no income test and no lease. Questions: *2310.

How much is the assistance in Netanya?

Basic amounts on the Ministry's page: single ₪363, family ₪659, single-parent family ₪739. The supplement applies in other districts; Netanya is in the Central District, so by our reading there is none here. Check on *2310.

What deposit can a landlord ask for?

If the deposit costs you money (a cash deposit, a guarantee fee), it is capped at the lower of 3 months' rent or a third of the rent for the whole lease. It must be returned within 60 days.

Who pays for repairs?

The landlord, for defects that are not minor and were not caused by the tenant. Within 30 days; urgent repairs within 3 days.

Can you help me find a rental?

Yes. I'll find an apartment in the Netanya neighbourhood you want, check the terms and stay with you until the lease is signed.

Shall we talk about your apartment?

A short call, no commitment, and you will know where you stand.
